Colgate Wisp Tooth Thingy

Colgate Wisp (Click for larger image)The Colgate Wisp “mini-brush with freshening bead” is the latest find in my neverending quest to build the greatest 180-pound amateur radio go-kit on the planet!

The Wisp is an approximately 3.5-inch long single-use tooth cleaner with breath freshener that requires no water or rinsing to use. It has a small brush head at one end and a soft toothpick at the other. Sold in packs of four and 16, Wisps are available in three minty flavors. I paid $1.99 for a four-pack at Target. Drugstore.com sells a 16-pack for more than list price ($8.49 vs. $7.99).

If you like to brush after every meal, or at least occasionally while on assignment, the Wisp might be convenient to carry. Especially, for those who believe toothbrushing is a key element to feeling human when actually getting cleaned-up is impossible.

The Wisp adds only an ounce or so to my go-kit, but it is a nice addition and pushes me just a tiny bit closer to my goal of having a kit that takes four strong men to carry. :>
